What gives AI the edge over humans is only one factor, efficiency. For any company, either a small start-up or a billion-dollar, it would look forward to using their resources as effectively as it is possible, making more, from less. And what’s a better way of accomplishing so than achieving tasks in a better way with far less time of what it takes for a regular human to do so? Thus, when you have the tool (AI) to make a more efficient use of the company resources, obviously it would use it without doubting.

Smart Fish eats the Big Fish

In today’s economy, it’s no longer the biggest company that survives it’s the smartest. Small teams armed with AI can beat with time industry giants that still rely on bloated, outdated processes and human bottlenecks.

Think about start-ups that, more effectively than ever, wipe-out a whole department, customer service, IT, data analysis, with a well-trained AI bot that can easily scrape, clean and forecast faster than any human team ever could.

What this means is that the employees who thought to be once irreplaceable, now begin to be threatened by a replacement of themselves, with the difference that it doesn’t work 9/5, but 24/7, learns and yields faster than they do, and never needs a coffee break.

Companies Don’t Need Horses, They Need Riders

Nevertheless, this is the game changer: AI doesn’t automatically replace humans, it replaces tasks. Given this, natural selection kicks in. Those who adapt, (learn how to use latest AI tools) don’t just stay relevant, they will multiply their impact and importance. A solo investor today with just some Python scripts and an AI trend analyzer can outwork a whole Wallstreet back office 20 years ago.

Teachers who understand how to train a model or give the students tool to make comprehension easier will be the ones leading the charge. Entrepreneurs who master prompt engineering don’t fear automation, they sell it to everyone else.
